Big UFC Night

Rashad Evans vs Forrest Griffith
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs Frank Mir
Wanderlei Silva vs Rampage Jackson

I think tonites card could be the best card I have ever seen on UFC.
They are gonna make a killing on buys.

Re: Big UFC Night

I'm gonna be watching. Should be a great night of fights. It will be reallllly hard to be a better show than the fight for the troops show was, that was an amazing night from a bunch of guys with no name recognition (except Koscheck). It's gonna be a great night, I can't wait.

Re: Big UFC Night

I think the Silva / Rampage fight will be great.
The problem is that Rampage is such a goofball, you don't know what is gonna happen. And Silva is just a technician, who can trap you in a number of moves.

Re: Big UFC Night

Can't wait! I want Rampage, Mir, & Griffith to win. But, I will be happy if Griffith just wins out of the 3.

Re: Big UFC Night

When Rampage hit Silva, I looked at my wife and said he killed him.
That was a brutal punch.

Griffith, should have kept up the leg kicks and taken the legs out from under Evans, just like he did with Rampage. You could tell the leg kicks were starting to have an effect, but he quit, and decided to keep punching.

Evans turned him into a pretzel, and just kept punching thru the holes. Griffith must have taken 7 or 8 punches while he was out cold.

Frank Mir was just in great shape and his uppercuts and jabs just took a toll on Nogueira.
But Nogueira looked like he was in terrible shape and like he didn't want to be there.

Re: Big UFC Night

Yeah, what a strange crazy night. Nogueira looked like he was in slow motion.

Something was odd about him. He looked like he was in horrible shape.
Kinda wonder if he had to cut weight and it took a toll on him physically?

Re: Big UFC Night

Nah, heavyweight max is 265 he weighed in at 245, no cutting. I think all the wars he has been in have just caught up to him. He looked punch drunk, slow, terrible shape. He didn't land a thing, amazingly bad performance for someone who had never been finished.
