That's totally me all the way!
I have 2 main music rooms in the house, my son utilizes one with a digital piano, drumset (mic'd up of course), his violin stuff, Crate guitar rig and several percussion pieces (congas, bell kits), and my old recording computer with 16 channel Carvin board. My main room with my computer (sonar 8 prod), Hartke bass rig, several guitar rigs (Crate, Line 6, Marshall), a CD/stereo recording rack, Korg keyboard, Peavey TLS 5's, EV SX15"s, asorted rack gear and power amps (stuff I'm not using yet), a bookcase full of parts and odd accessories, music books, and my fathers' Saxophone. My bedroom houses my live PA rig (Behringer 8channel powered mixer, rack tuner and other assorted effect stuff, wireless systems, Peavey TLS 2's) as I like to practice in there (solo singer guitarist stuff), plastic tubs organized for all my extra wires and cables, 2 SKB mic boxes (overfilled), all my guitars (30, some in my closet and some on the wall all in hard cases). And now my 6 year old daughter just started taking piano so I went out and got her an 88 weighted key digital piano, and put it in her bedroom. My 4 year old daughter has a mini drum set and congas in her room...
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA...I'm going to take over Scranton, and then the world with the help of my children!!!
It does help having a 10,000 sq ft house with 10 bedrooms though...definitely my advice for gear freaks is to have a big enough house!!!
