Calling all Jemsiters from London England!

I decided today that I'm going to go to Europe and visit my Grandmother, probably for the last time.

I'm flying to Heathrow and renting a car, and then after a few days in the London area, I will be driving to Switerland to visit my grandmother.

So, I'll have like 3 days in London and I need to know what the best guitar stores are to visit, and maybe some other points of interest and perhaps what the best true English Pub would be...

Addresses would be a bonus...

Thanks!

Trevor

Theres only 1 place you need to know, - - Denmark Street. Head straight for there and you will be fine, you'll be like a kid in lots of expensive toy stores!

Yes, Denmark Street is the place to go for guitar hunting. It's in West London somewhere, you have to get onto the Charing cross line from King's cross.

As for pubs, well there won't be any shortage of those in West London. Infact there is one on Denmark Street if I can recall correctly.

Yep head on down to Denmark St. I normally go to Tottenham Court Rd tube station. However you might find that the gear around there is kinda expensive.

There's plenty of bars around, but for a good pint look for somewhere that serves traditional beer, not the crappy lagers you get in most pubs

Soho Soundhouse just off Denmark St, on Charing Cross is good. Tried a G Force there and couldn't believe my ears .

Denamrk Street should be your first stop, it's off charing cross road near tottenham court road tube station. There are also a few stores if you head down tottenham court road, and for a large store go to sound control, which is in the basement of virgin megastore, which is on the corner of oxford street and tottenham court road, right next to tottenham court road station.

If you like old gear and vintage stuff, go to Andy's, as they sometimes have some awesome gear in there.

Though the shops on Denmark St. aren't too big, they certainly had more interesting guitars than our huge guitar 'supermarkets' up here. Actual ESP, not just LTD, a UV777GR, Ernie Ball Petrucci Mystic Dream (yes that is rare for me, never seen one in a UK shop before), a JSY2K (or whatever the transparent one is called) and many boutique effects amongst the cool things I saw while trawling the shops on that street. Almost forgot, some J customs too!
