Canadian postal

Has anyone ever shipped with these guys? I bought a neck for my strat 12 days ago on e-bay. Im still waiting for it. I got impatient and took the neck of my other strat just to be done with the project. I have shipped lots of stuff up there UPS that didnt take more than a week. I tracked this thing last nite and it says it took more than a week just to leave Canada, and its not even far. The neck is located in Windsor, Ontario. Windsor is like a mile from Detroit. Ugh.

Re: Canadian postal

Canada Post is slow. We're a bunch of slackers up here. And ignore the tracking info. It's very inacurate if it gets updated at all. Expect 2 to 4 weeks.

Re: Canadian postal

Canada post is cheaper than UPS and Fedex. It is reliable and it's what I prefer to use but it's slow.

Re: Canadian postal

LOL, yeah but for shipping to and from USA the brokerage and duties are very reasonable. You can ship fast with Canada Post but it costs a lot. It's the regular shipping that is cheap and slow.

Re: Canadian postal

Slow and steady wins the race.

Would you rather get your new guitar for 100$ and get it in 3 months or pay 600$ and get it in 3 days? I'm personally a cheapskate

EDIT: and I just noticed how crappy an example that was, I'd almost pay the 600 myself xD

Jerry Reed was the man though, check out some videos of him picking.

the reason for the link is the lyric....... and what your package is doing.

Re: Canadian postal

Canada Post tracking is meaningless when shipping outside of Canada. As far as I've been able to tell it doesn't track past Windsor.

Other than that it's pretty much the same as USPS. There is the cheap normal mail rate, than a medium rate and then a fast rate which is as fast as Fedex or UPS and costs the same too. But you won't get competely raped on Brokerage fees.

Atleast you don't have to actually deal with the Canada Post employees. Bunch of incompentant **** wads. I'm refuse to use them as I've had so much trouble with them.

Re: Canadian postal

I live in canada and UPS is soo much better. I bought a neck off **** and it took more than 2 weeks bc used usps then to canada post. I used ups to shipp bc it was fake and it only took 5 days! Cheapest shipping too! I think its bc when using canada post outside of canada it has to go through usps. Which takes a while.

Re: Canadian postal

If you wuold have inported that neck through UPS it would have showed up with a bill probably equaling what you paid for the neck.
