CD Editing Software

I am ~almost~ completely ignorant on this subject, so I apologize and thank you in advance for your help.

I am looking for inexpensive but decent quality software that will enable me to record songs to CD and control the fade-ins/outs and the levels. Songs from one CD to the next will have a different volume. I want to be able to control the volumes and be able to have one song fade into the next instead of a hack job.

Re: CD Editing Software

Just incase you're using a superior machine, Jam by Roxio is goodum and has dithering for your higher bit rate recordings.
