Re: Does anyone really care?
What a load!
I tell you, I'm studying to be an engineer so I consider myself to be a bit of a junior scientist. (LOL!) Seriously, though, I have many questions on the so-called human effect on global warming.
1. There were a few events in our planet's history called "ice ages". The Earth has undergone global warming significantly since then without human's around.
2. Many of these ice ages were triggered by volcanic activity. Volcanoes spew out TONS of greenhouse gasses; chief of which include carbon monoxide and methane. Unlike that silly movie "Volcano", Tommy Lee Jones and all of LA would have been killed quickly simply by breathing in proximity to the lava flow. But I digress.... Not that the Beijing skyline is any cause for worry. (cough, cough!)
3. LASTLY, we are NOT killing the planet. We are simply making it uninhabitable for human life. I suspect the Earth and its biosphere will go on thriving LONG after humans are extinct!
Cheers!
