In the Dove ads, I've only seen a couple of women that I found attractive. In my honest opinion, they're trying to make plain women feel better about themselves by putting plain women on their ads. And then they say that they're beautiful. It's simply a different marketing strategy.
I really like the ad. There are so many women out there today, with shapely, womanly bodies that end up feeling bad about themselves because society puts the messages out there that if you are not a hot, thin, 19 year old babe your a nobody. I know there will be a backlash, but I feel strongly on this point fellas. I've been on a diet practically since the day I was born. I revel and welcome a world where women can accept themselves more and not feel ashamed.
By society, I also mean when a girl goes out with her guy and he drones on and on about hot, skinny babes with big hooters. I've been on dates and had to hear this crap non-stop from some low-life guys that don't know how to treat a woman on a date. I think we are all beautiful in our own unique ways. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm a strong advocate of it is the inner beauty of the soul that really counts.
Ok, let the poison quills fly!.....
I'm so thrilled with my new guitar, nobody can get me down.
BTW-I like the tattoo on the quote, unquote "skanky" girl. I have two tattoos myself and I don't feel that this makes me skanky. Ok, time to go do some real work. I also love Dove soap. It smells good to me.
