Cool Flying

Hey guys.

I'm planning on making some trips over seas either to Finland or France... Not sure which one yet but does anyone have advice on this topic... I've never flown before and should I really be nervous about it?

Thanks.

Re: Flying

Nervous about what? The plane crashing? Some words of comfort: you have a bigger chance of dying in a car accident on the way to the airport than being in a plane crash (or to get robbed in Paris for that matter)

Wear a stylish suit, Converse Chuck Taylors, dark glasses and a hat. Tell everyone you're a rock star in France or a world class ice fishing champ in Finland. Insist on being bumped to 1st class and that you're agent made the mistake of booking econ fares. Keep a tiny stuffed bear in your jacket and give it to the stewardess when she hands you a drink...

Have fun!

Re: Flying

I've heard a rumor that 50% of the women on planes aren't as attractive as the other 50%.

Is this speaking from experience? Sounds like tonnes of fun.

Re: Flying

Nah... I usually fly with my wife. She'd bash my skull in if I tried a stunt like that.

Nah, I wouldn't sweat it. Just don't unleash the fury on the airplane and you'll be okay. If all else fails, tell people you're Canadian!

I'd actually say that unless you are going business or first class then I'd REALLY go for aisle seats. I used to fly all the time for work (probably 3 or 4 flights a week at the peak) and the aisle seats give you more headroom, window seats have less headroom and usually les footroom as well.
