Food for thought

Sort of stupid but thought I would share.

I own an all original 1938 Chevy pickup.
I decided to put new brakes on it on all 4 corners.

I got new shoes, return springs, clips and slaves....a typical complete brake job...nothing special.

THE BRAKES FOR ALL 4 WHEELS COST AS MUCH AS THE ENTIRE TRUCK SOLD FOR IN 1938!!!!! NO JOKE!!!!!!

When I realized this, it made me laugh. By the same standards a new jem in 90 years will cost 75,000$.

Re: Food for thought

What will really bake your noodle is it takes $1.32 today to buy what $1 bought in 2000.
On the dollar inflation alone from 2007 my $900 RG550 20th would have to be $1,008; never mind the exchange rate with the Yen.
But this is what happens when we print more money.... (political discussions aside.)
Cheers!

Re: Food for thought

Is there a core charge if you don't return the old parts? If so how much?
