Rich, I think you'd like that one. This chick is one of their featured members lol

Re: Is this forum dead??

Aw man... I like this website. I swore off facebook about a year and a half back, mainly because of the political garbage and a-holes. I like a nice civil place like this... plus the old guitar challenges were fun. I've learned so much from this site over the years. People had the patience to help me learn how to record with a DAW, help with guitar setup advice, wiring pickups in weird ways, etc.. This site, youtube, and my email are 99% of my internet activity.

This pic is 4.5 MB so that's what - 28 or so photos? I get web hosting costs money but compared to the resources at FB and other places it's not that much.

I "closed my account" on Facebook after they let everybody on and the excessive self-promotion by individuals made up the majority of my "Wall." (I do not know if people still have "Walls" anymore.) After that, I never opened another social media account. As a Millenial, I predict many of my fellow Millenial's will have a hard time getting elected to public office because of what they posted during the early days of Facebook. Then again, Donald Trump is not exactly a saint...or a Millenial.

Jemsite was the first forum I joined. I bought an RG570 instead of a JEM555 Jr. because of the advice from this website. (Lo Pro > Lo-Trs) Ironically, the bridge was installed crooked which caused all sorts of problems. I could see the bridge was crooked and assumed everyone else could see it too, like the guitar tech and salespeople. After about 3 months of "problem-solving", I decided to point out that the bridge was crooked to the salesman I bought it from. I was a kid.
"Wow! You're right! We never saw that." They ordered me a new one which took a week.
So, thanks for the advice guys.

Re: Is this forum dead??

I come here every day at lunch time to peruse new posts and have for years. Also keep up with FB groups. More activity on social media nowadays. Still prefer Jemsite. Less drama here and don't care much for a few of the braggarts. Nice that you have every JEM made or boobs to show off with your guitars. Just don't need to see it every day. Don't really have that here and mods do a good job of policing. Maybe just I'm just jealous that I'm not loaded enough to have every JEM known, or boobs for that matter. A lot of the guys from here are on FB as well. Nice to see actual names on FB too.

I have man boobs. Should I take some pictures with a guitar neck in my cleavage for my site?

Butt cleavage is a blue collar birthright, if you've got it, flaunt it!

Re: Is this forum dead??

FWIW this site has 20 "new members" in Nov (who went out of their way and filled in a form, password, etc. as opposed to clicking "JOIN/LIKE" button). Looking at the email/username they're not spambots. Obviously there is some incentive to join simply to limit ads and see attachments moreso than to interact on a forum like it was 1999.

The info above is just simple data points for people to make their own determinations.

Not sure if they have JPG compression. How many MB more would you prefer to be given? A few clicks could make it much larger it lemme know.

It should be enough across the board that no one runs into that barricade and has to ask for more I think. Not just me but anyone.
In general it is easier to post photographs on social media and do lots of other stuff compared to a forum in general. Facebook and the like have massive server resources at their disposal.
I'm not burning on Jemsite specifically. I love this site actually and would like to see it thrive.
Traffic is really the key. I love interacting on this board but when you come back to a thread after a day or two and there's no new updates it is kind of discouraging.
What Jemsite needs is a big scoop! A nice leak on 2019 models would be ideal. I remember when the RG20th's leaked and IIRC this site caught fire!

You're no fun. But then you don't remember me dressed in a ball gown holding a Rainforest laid out on the couch, back in my Richelle days.

[and thank god nobody saved that picture before I pulled it off!!]
