Smile Got the new Iby history book today

Wow-- this thing is full of information and color photos and history and neat-o stuff. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through at this writing, but I learned about an old guitar company called "Elger" that was kind of a pre-Ibanez.

I also had no idea that a great portion of Ibanez's initial success was creating better-made "carbon copy" guitars of Str*ts, Pauls, Must*ngs, and similar...

It is something nice to read on these Winter nights (in this hemisphere...)

Re: Got the new Iby history book today

I've got that book. It's a good one, no doubt, but there are a few guitars missing. I remember specifically trying to look up an RG505 because I was contemplating buying one (glad I did, it's just an RG550 with the zero in the wrong place) It wasn't there, so that'd make me think there are others missing also. It's cool to hear some of the stories with different artists getting involved and the evolving of music and the way instruments changed to provide it.
