Exclamation guitar build problem *help*

I am building a fender stratocaster replica but i am rear routing instead of front routing. i think on the strats, the fret board is a few millimetres higher to sit over the pickguard. if this is true, should i route my neck pocket cavity a "few millimetres deeper." thank you for taking the time to read my S.O.S.

I Dont think so, because the hight of the strings is determend by the hight of the bridge and the nut.
I wont route it deeper ive i were you unless you have a trem or bridge thats adjustable in hight.
