Happy Thanksgiving

Not a worldwide holiday, but here in the "States" it is. It might be a good opportuity for the entire world to take a second to think about the things that they are most thankful for though. Certainly couldn't hurt could it?

Just put the bird in the oven and I am already getting fat on little sausages in BBQ sauce, holiday colored M&Ms and Hershey's Kisses. Enjoying the rainy Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and a little later my favorite hometown losers [err I mean Detroit Lions - more like Kittens] play the Miami Flounders.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of all!

I'm most thankful for the love of family and friends, health, security and good fortune. After that, it's all about my love for guitars, music and of course my brothers and sisters on jemsite.

Peace,
Scott

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

Happy thanksgiving you US folk, I'll support it from the UK by saying that I'm thankful for pudding, chips and gravy *drool*

I wish thanksgiving was universal, we need more holidays that bring people together.

You guys should be thankful that our ancestors got on the Mayflower and stopped polluting your country!

I think the Canadians celebrate their own Thanksgiving, sort of the same way that they celebrate their own "4th of July." I'm sure there is some similar holiday in every clime and place.

Today, I am on the sidelines for cooking. I tried taking on a dish--dessert, appetizer...NOTHING! My wife's family took all the tasks away. I was planning to make a pumkin pie with butter cooked sweet pecans crushed on top (BTW: delicious looking recipe I caught off TV show "Take Home Chef"). But I am forced to lay down my utensils and apron.

So, I'll have my feet up with beer in hand and eyes on the football game while dinner's being cooked for me by the in-laws. Not a bad thing! Plus, leaves time for playing guitar before heading out for dinner to grandma's house!

I may fire up the oven this weekend with brining a turkey for me and my wife. See how I feel after turkey dinner tonight though.

Paul

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
