Angry HELP!!! How to stop bleeding!

Well.....****!!!! This is about the stupidest thing I have ever done in my lifel ;O(

I bit my tongue this morning eating a hard boiled egg I have unusually LARGE and sharp incisors and I damn near bit a chuck off. It's just kinda hanging there!

Youch!

Blood was literally pouring out of my mouth. It's not gushing quite as bad now, but it's STILL bleeding a LOT. Almost three hours now and there is no sign of it stopping. Im trying to hold a rag up against it, but it's in a spot where I can't really get pressure on it and it won't dry because it's in my mouth!! Grrrrrrrr! Does ANY body have any advice here to help me to stop this thing from bleeding?? I REALLY don't feel like going to the Emergency room to get stitches in my tongue

Lol....I tried to call in to work and they couldn't understand me cuz I can't hardly talk How stupid I felt. "Hi Martha, I can't come in today cuz I bit my tongue and I'm bleeding to death" I'm not sure she bought it, lol!

Please free to make fun of me, cuz I know you will but PLEASE HELP!

All this blood is starting to get my nauseous

HELP!!!!

Re: HELP!!! How to stop bleeding!

Re: HELP!!! How to stop bleeding!

Ughh! I called the health line number. They said I could try a tea bag because something in the tea helps as a coagulant. Trying that now.

I have to be on my friken death bed before I'll go to the hospital.

Salt???? Ouch

Well...if the tea bag doesn't help, I'll try that. I don't care about the pain. I can deal with that, Doctors and nurses are another story
Thanks

Yeah, not meaning to get you to harm yourself or anything here Jim, but you really ought to swill your mouth with some salt-water.

Re: HELP!!! How to stop bleeding!

Go straight to your dentist! This could be performed in a general practice, depending on how surgically inclined your dentist is. Otherwise its a case for maxillo facial surgeons och maybe the good people at ear-nose-and-throat. A few sutures and you're as good as new again.

Re: HELP!!! How to stop bleeding!

lol

You better get it stitched, because if you end up like that permanently people will either think you're *** or you are about to drool on them.
