Sounds like you're getting tested enough at home
Well, without getting too personal and going into detail......it did happen when we were having some 'fun'.
I thought I was having a heart attack. I felt this horrible pressure in my chest and throat. I got light-headed and at one point thought I was going to pass out.
While I was in the hospital I was having several a minute, but it wasn't like it felt with exertion.
I'm out of work all week, and have tests scheduled tomorrow, the next day, etc.
I'm still having them from time to time, but they are brief and I don't feel too bad when they happen.
They told me no 'exertion' until they know what's going on and can decide a treatment. UGH!
You know Jeff's not happy about that! LOL
(I'm not either, but fear overrides anything else, you know?
They think it may be an electrical problem, but they won't know for sure until all the testing is done.
They may even call for a cardiac catheterization if they can't find anything using the non-intrusive tests.
That sounds fun......they shove a catheter up an artery near your groin, go up into your heart and 'look around'.
When they are done, you have to lay perfectly still for hours.
I can't stay still for five minutes!
I'm afraid of the stress test too. They won't have me on a treadmill though, they use a drug that makes your body 'think' you're exerting yourself, but you are actually laying still. They told me they counteract it with caffeine when the test is over. The actually just give you a can of Coke, the caffeine makes the drug inert in your body. Sounds cool, but scary......and I hate
Thanks for the well wishes guys. I'll keep you updated.
