You don't see a list with China's numbers on it.
I'll bet it ranks at least or above with the U.S.'s numbers.

Yeah i was gonig to mention China as it has a much larger amount of peeple, whereas the other contries dont have anywhere as near as America. But it wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if the percentage of Intentional self-harm by rifle, shotgun and larger firearm discharge from china was way, way lower than America, simply because (no offence guys) America is a violent country. Guns are readliy avaliable to buy anywhere, with little or no licenceing required. I mean shi* you can buy hangun and high powered rifle ammo at walmart. thats just plain insanity.

I personally don't think the US is a 'violent country'. It's just the way the leftist elements of the media here and writers in Hollywood portray it that way. In my experience, Americans by and large are good and very decent people but like any country in the world, there are exceptions.

I remember watching a Michael Moore documentary on something about guns and violence. I'm not saying that America is a violent country, but if I was there I would prefer to travel with company and avoid any miscommunication. ;-)

This survey is as enlightening as Rolling Stone's 'top 100 guitar players' lists.

Of course the US would top the list: large population and large proportion of citizens who own guns. QED

BTW people here in China wouldn't just blow their brains out. Too embarrasing.

Michael Moore is in the infotainment industry and grossly sensationalizes the facts. However, the fact remains that Americans are good people and not like that back stabbing a$$wipe that won the last Apprentice series.

Oh come on Kamo - you didn't really fall for his crap did you??? I've walked / rode / drove through every state in this country w/o fear. Man you guys need to stop listening to the bogus media and watching idiots like Moore and just come for a visit. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

BTW - In a country where you cannot buy guns....only BAD guys have guns! I personally have several and wow....I've never shot or killed a soul ;O)

I'd like to see that rate after a decade with no sun in the winter. And I'm wondering why - if that's the case - US has such a high rate with mentaly disturbed people (average, not total).

Wrong, bad guys will always have the upper edge. If you get a gun, they get more powerful guns (plural). Doesn't it take up a lot of time to practice using that gun?
