Japanese vacation

OK Guys, here's a question.

Is it possible to have a standard beach style vacation in Japan? If so where would you recommend?

I love the country to bits, but have never had a relaxing time there, I've always been on the go. Next summer I was hoping to have a chilled out vacation there. I'm not trying to be obtuse, it's just I speak more Japanese than I do Spanish or Italian and if I'm going foreign I prefer to at least be able to order a meal in the native language.

Thanks in advance,
Jono

Re: Japanese vacation

Planning on visiting the guitar shops and bringing home a new axe?

Have fun.

Re: Japanese vacation

Jono, one of my favorite places in the world is Enoshima Island. It is in the city of Fujisawa. I don't think it is worth making a whole vacation out of, but it is an absolute must if you will be there anyway. Benzaiten, the goddess of music and entertainment, is enshrined on the island. It is a magic place!!
