JS Donnie Inspired Paint Job

Just cleared this last night. It's not meant to be a replica - just inspired by. All brush work. Colors really pop in person!

Artwork done by Andy Jensen who works with Perle Guitars. He has some other amazing pieces he has done. Just stopped by his house last night and looked at some panels he has done. Very cool work - some sweet Alien and Zombie themes too! Going to try and get him to put more of those on guitars!

Re: JS Donnie Inspired Paint Job

I do find that "face" shape quite interesting. Why does it have such appeal? It is easy to draw "another" kind of face, design, etc. Strangely enough this is the one that attracts people. Is it because of the original, or does it have some kind of zen attraction type of nonsense?

Re: JS Donnie Inspired Paint Job

I'm not big into Satriani guitars so correct me if I'm wrong... But maybe it's because that is what was on the stock production model, so that's why it's recreated so much.
