I think there's too much work involved to do it monthly, but I'd be willing to do it quarterly. If PayPal is a legal hassle, I'd be willing to accept checks, money orders and keep track of the funds. My only questions are:
1. Who decides what guitar is the prize?
2. What has been the historical way of choosing a winner? Slips of paper in a hat? Computer program? Pin the tail on the fret board?
Let me know--looks like the price of a new JEM is about $2600.00. At $25 per ticket we'd need 104 people to make the cost of the guitar. Do we think we can get 104 entries into such a raffle? I think it'd be more realistic to do 52 tickets @50/each, plus we'd need to figure in a little padding for shipping costs.
I like the idea (even though as the admin I'd be disqualified).
Tell you what, everyone who is interested in this type of giveaway, send me an e-mail to [email protected]
with the subject JEMSITE GIVEAWAY. I'll count the responses from now until the end of August. If we have enough interested parties, we'll run for 90 days from September-->November, then someone will get a kickin'-ass pre-Holiday present.
