Kidney Failure

Well, besides guitars, dogs are the other love of my live.

Our 4 1/2 month old dobe went in to get spayed, and she got very sick afterwards. Well, the verdict is kidney failure.

I was supposed to fly out of the country today, but decided to come home instead. We're hoping for the best.

Re: Kidney Failure

She seems to be doing better today, which is hopefully a good sign, and we'll find out more on Friday.

I've got two boxers myself. They're my children...my babies. I hope your baby gets better and is ok.

Re: Kidney Failure

Got the bloodwork back today.

BUN and Creatinine have dropped about 50%, which is a good thing.

She's not out of the woods yet, but the vet seems to feel like she will make a full recovery in the next few weeks. We may have to do a special diet with her.

He is very pleased, because admittedly he wasn't too sure she was gonna make it.
