Love it!

For those of you who don't know me well, and especailly those who didn't see me make a fool of myself at Jemfest several years ago - I am not a very good guitar player at all. But I do love playing, which makes it ok by me. I guess I am pretty good at playing rhythm guitar. "I never wanted to be a musician, I only wanted to be a rock star."

Well I obviously never became a rock star, but I did recently join a band, with whom I am having a great time. They have some original material, but we play covers of System of a Down, Disturbed, BLS, AC/DC etc. Its a lot of fun.

Anyhow, here's a pic of the stage on which we played Thursday night. I love it.

It's pretty cool playing on a stage that popular acts play on. Seven Mary Three is playing there next week, Darren McCarty's Grinder (Red Wings fame, now in Calgary) has played there, Sponge and I am sure there are others that I am unaware of. While they may not be Vai or some other renowned acts, and it's definitley not Madison Square Garden, it's still pretty cool.

Re: Love it!

Playing live is the best part of being a player.Big or small stages, anything goes. I played with a cover band for 3 years. we were very busy and played everywhere. It was a great ride and I really miss it.

Re: Love it!

DUDE!!!
That STAGE!!!!!!!!!!

Look at the SIZE of 'er!

Anyways.. Enough pirate talk for one day.
I might bring up "What precious booty you may score on that one!!!!!!"

hahaha

ANYWAYS.

Congratulations!
Are you sure that your band doesn't wear makeup or something?
It looks like a famous band that wore a bunch of makeup would rock THAT stage!
