Re: Most Haunted

Most Haunted is on the Travel channel. It's based in England, so I'm sure it is shown overseas.

Re: Most Haunted

I used to love Most Haunted and watched it religiously until I kind of figured out nothing was ever going to happen....

Oh yeah and whilst watching a couple of the live episodes, overhearing Derek's ear-piece on the microphone telling him where to go and what to say.

Re: Most Haunted

Never saw it, but shows like that annoy me. It's all good fun, but some people here in the US actually BELIEVE that stuff. And Edwards, and Sylvia Brown, etc...

Re: Most Haunted

It is hilarious - Derek the camp scouser is completely off his head and the Yvette Fieldings literally sh!ts herself every episode

Fantastic TV

Re: Most Haunted

Yvette is MUCH too coc ky and annoying now which is why I don't bother with it.

Derek is funny though, completely hamming it up as much as he can.

That Yvette's husband (Phil?) deserves a slap because he thinks he is super macho man or something and always ends up sh*tting himself too.

Like I said before, there was the time where you heard them tell Derek what to say, then another show where they were supposed to of heard a sound at the end of an empty room, which when the camera spun around caught one of the crew stood there where the noises were coming from (followed by Phil whispering "Get out of the shot!!")

I'm afraid to say that as much as I wish it were true, it's probably just pie in the sky.

Re: Most Haunted

Oh and that other show where they visit some pub and Derek is like "I can sense a man with a big hat and a beard, his name is Samuel" whilst he is stood next to a load of old photos from past landlords, etc. which is obviously where he got it from.

I'm afraid the only spirits that Derek is involved with, are ones on the top shelf in a bar.

Re: Most Haunted

that Derek Acorah bloke is definitely not real. for example, when he gets 'posessed' by people from times in history long long ago, he talks in modern day english, just adding 'thous' and 'thines' here and there to make it sound ye olde. in reality, old english is barely recognizable

I always laughed at that.

The other thing I love is how they never bother to try to prove anything in the show. It is 100% word of mouth, just like those campy "Haunted Hotel" shows. IE - A spirit is allegedly present and they feel it getting warm/cold in a room. So they all say, "Yeah it's cold" and you are just supposed to believe it. No temperature readings. Or when they split up in groups, they always say they hear noises from other parts of the place they are in. Of course they do, because there are physical people elsewhere in the building.

Re: Most Haunted

Yeah and they always have something happen but "unfortunately" don't catch it on camera.

If it was a serious investigation instead of a ratings-grabber, there would be cameras and microphones everywhere.
