Naps

I love a good afternoon Sunday nap. The road is quiet in front of my house. There's nothing I REALLY need to do. It's my day of relaxation. And napping after I get home from church.....well, it just doesn't get much better than that. We have an early service that's over at 9:30am. Perfect.

Re: Naps

A nap would be near impossible for me. I can barely switch off at night never mind during the day

Re: Naps

I get a bit paranoid that I'm about to get ill when I feel tired enough to nap during the day, so usually I don't take naps. But I'm totally with you. The times I do, it's absolutely wonderful!

Re: Naps

My youngest will nap about 1:30p.m., if I can convince my 4 y.o., soon to be 5 y.o. to chill on the couch with me until we both pass out, we're in good shape, if not, I am awful tired by the end of the day.

Naps rule...

Re: Naps

Actually, new studies found that naps can lower your risk for heart desease and or heart attacks and strokes.

Even though I never get to take them I love them too. SUnday is always a great day for a nap.

Re: Naps

But calling it a nap really gives your age away.... either v. young or v. old. At any other age between puberty and decrepitude you have:

"I was that smashed on Saturday night I passed out on Sunday afternoon."

p.s. - I have naps. And enjoy them greatly.

Re: Naps

Naps are great.
I think shopping malls should have nap stations where you could sleep while the wife and kids shop.

I fell asleep on a couch in a shopping mall...I woke up, went to toilet only to find I had moustaches and crap drawn on my face...how embarrasing.

No joke...I had been awake for around 30 hours.

When I got on the bus home I fell asleep there and missed my stop, had to walk 3 miles to get home cause my parents were at work. That's not the most enjoyable thing when you feel like you might collapse.

Re: Naps

I can't do naps because when I wake up I feel all sluggish and tired.
If I go to sleep I'm down for the count so I only nap (sleep) when it's beddie-bye time

Daydreaming in a hammok.....are the only naps I partake in

BTW - Darin, you get the "I've started the most new threads in 60 days" award

Myst may have something to say about that

Darin's on his way to become the new pollmeister, too!

About the napping... I never do this because, like some others have said aswell, I feel drained afterwards. But I daydream 24/7. It annoys some people, but I can't help it. They say daydreaming is actually a form of meditation. That's interesting.
