new cam...for you photo guys

Ever since I got my Canon 40D, I was not really happy with it, but I wanted to be. I have had the 20D, 30D, 40D and now just recently, the 50D. The 40D was a good upgrade from the 30D, but not by all that much, and I wasn't really too happy with the photo results anyway. Let me tell you, the 50D is very well done! The images on the lcd are outstanding, 15.1 megapixel, very sharp images! Many other features, not to mention a revamped brand new fast digic chip. I shot my first wedding with it yesterday and the shots are outstanding. Vista doesn't read these RAW files but i'm sure / hoping Lighroom will. Haven't imported to Lightroom yet. The 40D sold on evilbay as well as some other things, to get the 50D. Well worth it.

In other news, I FINALLY got the job! I was brought on as contractor / temp and they liked me so much, they offered me the job! It's been a week and I still can't believe it! I start on payroll on monday. Everyone told me it would happen but with the economy and fighting for roughly 7 months looking, daily, it finally happened. It will happen, it will just take time. Have a good rest of the weekend.

Very cool Steve. I had read the specs on the 50d and was quite impressed. Look forward to seeing some of the pics you took.

Good stuff, post some pics from the 50D in the photo thread when you have a chance. I'll get a 50D when everyone else is buying the 70D.
