Oh man, I already managed to see that once today - the vocals are amusing, but they do alright as a band.

but that solo, granted I don't think I did any better at their age, but still...i did not record myself

They didn't record themselves. UKM is a happening that allows young people to show what they do within music, art, dance and arts in general. They would have to sign up for it, for many UKM is their first meeting with a stage and a crowd.

Well, fair enough - props for them for getting out there and playing, nevertheless, I didn't sign up for anything without being happy with what I can do - come to think of it, maybe it's a mistake.

I can understand your view. Many kids play The Rose on piano and vocals every year, it's not always fun to watch/listen to. But at least they're playing. I've been a judge at UKM, and it means a lot to most of them to know they have been listened to. And yes, I participated in UKM myself when I was younger, and no, I'm not proud of the video.
