We have switched to the Queen's English, We no longer bow to the King!

It's been a decade, your kids are probably out of college and married by now. Still have the same wife?

Son is a Sergeant in the Corps....and recently married. The five girls are aged 18 down to nine with a set of twins in there. One in college and one in elementary school. Actually remarried the wife after a short hiatus, and Iím working for Department of Defense on an air base here in Michigan.

How bout you? Looks like you never left this place, you should fully vetted by now? Has Glen offered you a partnership or at least profit sharing yet?

Dang, the DOD. Movin' on up! So it IS the same wife, but your second. That's fun to explain, this is my first and second wife

The site was sold to a company that pretty much destroyed the main site, then resold to another that just warehouses forums and only cares about how many adds get clicked on, which is surprising that there are as few add blocks on the page as there are. But it's always nice when one of the old gang stops by for a visit, and reminds us how old we're all getting!

Wait, what?! I had no idea about the site. Is Glen still “Jemsite?”

I sleeze in once and a while but I’m back prepping to gig again and doing research. I think you and I talked two years ago when I bought that premium from you.

Hello everyone...thanks for letting me join...so..I'm 55 yrs old..I live in Daytona Beach , Florida..I've been playing since I was in my teens...I drastically changed the way I was playing when I first heard yngwie malmsteen playing with " stealer "....after about 6 months I had learned alot of his licks and began listening to classical music..he basically opened my mind up to different techniques...from then on friends / band-mates started calling me " Shred " and it stuck to this day...so anyways I started gravitating towards instrumental guitar...then I heard Vinnie Moore...I studied his picking , his style intensely for days , months...then came " project driver " with Tony macalpine..Steve Morse , Micheal Lee firkins , Greg Howe , George belas , Joe satriani , soooo many to name.....I learned sooo much ( still learning ) something from each of them..at the same time I was working on a music degree...then I changed my major to computer science and engineering bachelor's degree then got a degree in commercial refrigeration and I'm still doing heat and air as a service tech/installer...and still playing...my childhood /longtime friends/ band-mates Kev and Charly formed " deepslick " in the early 80's..played around the city..all over Florida...I wanted spread the sounds of guitar virtuosity and they didn't...I couldn't even get them to play easier songs by joe satriani..crush of love...satch boogie...nobody was playing like that back then that we knew...so I quit..focused more on school while woodshedding my reclusive life away...that's what " they " called it..a friend Brian " bash " muldrew who played in a metal band ..we began (my first experiences in home-recording)..recording his music and I was used for guitar solo's..that time period really opened my eyes and motivated me to do it all myself....which meant , spend more money , buy more gear....so anyways...I'm still doing that...I just got two used jbl studio monitors for my home studio..a new/used Carver zr500 power amp..I use cubase for recording on my custom built Asus recording only computer since I have a bachelor's in comp.science/engineering....that's all I've done with that ****ing degree...lol...is that funny or what...well thanks for reading my book I just wrote...it won't happen again...just dont get me talking bout music theory...lol

Re: Okay... new members: Locations please!

Hello, my name is Gary and new to this forum but not Ibanez. I am from the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area. Several years ago I had an inexpensive Hollowbody Archtop Artcore Electric. I just purchased an Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AF95. Waiting for it to arrive. Thought I would say hello.
Have a lot to check out here
