Re: pc problems

Pretty vague problem there. If I were you (and everything else seems to run fine) I'd check windows updates. Also if you're using IE your computer is probably trying to tell you to get a real browser! Go try a different one like Chrome/Opera/Firefox and see if the same problem happens.

Pretty hard to figure out whats wrong with just the information you've provided.

Re: pc problems

After a little Google-fu I suggest you try this if you like firefox more than chrome and would like to go back to using it:

- Uninstall firefox
- Delete your mozilla folder located here (keeps prefrences and all that kind of stuff in it): C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Mozilla
- Reinstall firefox

Before you do that though, you might want to save your bookmarks if you care about that.

Good luck,

Dude how long since the last re-install of your system? Might be an idea. Also list your specs out.

Re: pc problems

oh darnit. Specs, meaning, what are the components of your pc, memory, disk, processor.... that kinda thing. Things like error sending report, and program not responding can sometimes be caused by having too many things running at the same time combined with not much memory, not a large enough swap file on disk, etc etc. Lotsa things. If you have a friendly geek in the neighborhood, you might want to ask him/her for help.

DO NOT TOUCH THE FRIENDLY GEEK

Re: pc problems

Run ccleaner to clean out a lot of nonsense in your system. Run both the cleaner as well as the registry cleaner.

If you REALLY REALLY want to hose your system, you'll install Chrome! IE is just fine. Upgrade to latest IE and updates and run AV scan.
