Photography - Just A Little Something

So, today, I thought, what shall I do today? Take photos of the planes today I thought.

I'd like to add, I am not a plane spotter, I just love photography and the planes make great practise for moving subject shots.

Basically, I'm not much of a tweaker on Photoshop and I do believe in the principles of photography in a traditional way of, get it right first time, use the camera. So, these shots have only had a re-size, no sharpening. A few are brighter than the others as I played with metering modes, especially spot metering, can make some shots dark if I had that part of the camera on the landing gear lights.

Hope you enjoy, comments welcome, of any kind.

Re: Photography - Just A Little Something

Thanks guys.

I was using my Canon EOS 5D and my 100-400mm L IS USM lens.

Some I shot on Program mode and Apature Priority mode. In AP mode, I set the apature to f8 and was achieving a shutter speed of 1/1600.

Some were taken with Spot metering and others with Partial metering.

I had a pretty good spot, pretty much infront of the ILS Localiser so was getting some great shots. Using the telephoto lens got me a good look as they come in to fill the frame up, as they get closer, they're gone over your head in a flash.

Love the shot of the airfield lighting on the runway Andy
