Re: The Photography Thread

Shot this one on film, lost a lot of quality in the conversion process, and the people who developed it overdeveloped so her skin looks nasty and pasty

This one is with a pinhole camera

Figure I'd throw in something to do with guitar

Thanks, yes, she's my elder daughter one or 2 years ago. I used a normal Canon digital camera. Don't remember the model. I have to make new pics with the reflex camera we bought last year....

The red couch is the one I used to have in my studio. Now I moved it somewhere to make room for my amps LOL

Did you shoot the photo in RAW or JPG mode? If you shot it in RAW then the software that you use to convert your photo will have a slider for exposure. Bump it up as high as you can without losing detail in the photo.
If you shot jpg then a program like Adobe Photoshop will also have an exposure adjustment that you can use.

Re: The Photography Thread

Here's where I would take it exposure wise... (hope you don't mind me editing your photo)

EDITED

ORIGINAL

I'm no photoshop expert but what I did was bump up the exposure, unsharp mask at 100/.09, and a slight overal color saturation boost.

I think your lighting on the bear was prety good. Just the wrinkly background takes away a little. But the light is good.
Also I should add that your better off to get the exposure correct in camera. That will give you less noise and the most detail out of your image.
