Printer Problem - Jemsite

Printer Problem

I have a epson R200, and it has the two blinking read light on them, and everytime i turn it on, theres this snapping noise i hear, and second that snapping noise happens the red lights are blinking, i think i know the source of the problem, but i dont know how to fix it, i have already used SCC Utility if anyone wanted to know, but heres a pic->

and i think its getting snagged on this.

With my old Epson, the "teeth" on the bottom of the printhead assembly (the thing holding the ink) would get misaligned. Usually happened because the stupid thing would not stop properly when you tried to change the ink.

Anyway, it probably isn't recomended, but manually pushing it to its docking spot to the far right hand side and then closing the lid, power-cycling, would generally fix things.

Yeah, I had an Epson r200 that did the same thing. I put it in ink changing position, and then un-plugged and then worked it back in forth manually a few times. It should move freely. I then closed the lid, plugged it back in and let it cycle. Not really sure why but that worked for me.
As Jay said though, try at your own risk.
