This is rediculous...

So I just walked outside, and I was like "Man, it's starting to get cold, I guess Fall will be here soon".

I come inside to check the weather, and it's 70 degrees! 75 at the beach (like 5 miles away).

That's rediculous, I'm from Virginia, and work constantly in NY/NJ area, even in the winter, and 70 in Florida is starting to feel cold now... 20 degrees used to not bother me.

I guess I better go stock up on some fire wood.

it got down to 50 monday and i nearly froze my ass off . I dont take cold well nor do i like it . when it gets cold in texas most of the time it is a wet cold because of the way moistor filters up from the gulf , so it is 30 D but feels a lot colder because of the humidity or to me it does anyways .

The air here is dry....
When it's dark, windy, 28 degrees F and you're walking to the bus stop.. THAT is cold. haha

Re: This is rediculous...

Jax.... I'm originally from south Florida and have traveled all over. I like cold weather for visiting or vacation only. Now that I have made north Florida my permanent home, I'm still not used to the cold. (like below 65 or so) So it sounds like you're an official transplant now! We still have a second home "down south" but only spend a couple of weeks there around Thanksgiving and Christmas and the start of racing season so I can thaw out. I sure love fall though with the color change and all.

I love that you can bundle up and feel the tip of your nose all cold, but your bones aren't shattering..

Re: This is rediculous...

28 degrees right now?!? Forget that...

Yeah, I guess I can't really complain about the weather down here. For the most part, it's always nice. It felt awesome here today, like mid 80's, but different than the summer 80's. A little more crisp.

But wow, I can't believe I thought 70 was getting a little chilly!

The coldest weather I have ever been in was 6 degrees below zero, before wind chill, and that was pretty unbelievable. I remember walking from the car to the hotel, and I just couldn't believe how bone chilling cold that was.

It'll get colder, trust me.

Yup, that is the one thing I miss about VA is the Fall. I still always try to make a trip up there in October to try to take some of it in, but the mountains are gorgeous when the foilage is changing.

It looks the same here year round. The only difference is the sky is a little bit grayer sometimes.

Re: This is rediculous...

The summer humidity here is just like winter up north. You get out of your car and go inside quickly. The humidity sucks. A few weeks ago, I was driving in my car, and about 20 minutes into the drive, going over a bridge, my outside thermometer said 103 degrees still... Very hot...

I just can't imagine those places that get up to 80 during the day, and 30 at night. Such a drastic temp change would really play tricks on me.

Yup Jemmer. In the winter, it still looks green. We always have plenty of green to look at

Re: This is rediculous...

Ok let me get this straight - you guys are from Florida and Las Vegas and you are complaining about the cold!! Give me a break! Try skiing at Mt Tremblant in Quebec in Dec. I got off the lift at the top of the mountain and it was -33deg. Now that's cold. Needless to say the weather in Toronto from Dec to about March is usually around -10 deg. You get used to it and it gives you a good excuse to spike your hot chocolate with some Baileys etc.

Now we're talkin'!

I went to a ski resort one time, and it was so damn cold, we stayed in the lodge and drank Rumpleminz and Hot Chocolate (it was on special, $3) for a few hours, and then got the bright idea to go down a few more hills. I've got plenty of stories about that, but they are much better in person.
