Rediscovered LPs

Last Friday we took my father's old pickup out from the garage and I instantly set it up in my room. Along with the pickup came a lot (around 50-60) of LPs, mainly consisting of classic. I found some Elvis LPs, with a numbered collector's edition, a lot of Shostakovich music (whom I adore) and some Abba LPs.

I'm thrilled each time I place a LP on to the mechanism and listen to the music with those little crackles and hiss... I bought myself a first copy of Beethoven's 5th Symphony from DG conducted by Karajan.

Just thougt I'd share...

Re: Rediscovered LPs

old records are far better than cd or cassette or mp3....i have some records on cd/lp/cassette/mp3...but the old vinyl is the best...and the sleve is much much more beautifull!....but mp3 cants scratsch....smile...and is much easier to take with you..at home...on a good record player with good amp and speakers...nothing beats a good clean old record....and enyoy
