Richard Pryor

Just read this

http://apnews.excite.com/article/200...D8EE1EH00.html

He was trully one of the greats and just plain funny. We all know where Eddie Murphy got stuff from.

R.I.P.

Regards

André

Re: Richard Pryor

Thats sad
I really enjoyed a lot of his films, especially Stir Crazy and See No Evil, Hear No Evil.

RIP

He could reduce pretty much anyone to tears of laughter.

Re: Richard Pryor

RIP.

He was truely hilarious. I remember the first time I heard of him - only a couple years ago! They had a late 70s standup routine he did and I don't think I have ever laughed so hard (and you can tell what an influence he had on Eddie Murphy - stuff Eddie Murphy did 5 years later could have been from the same Richard Prior show).

Re: Richard Pryor

His stand up was great. Eddie more or less just copied him in the beginning but still it was damn funny.

André

Re: Richard Pryor

funny and groundbreaking, without RIchard Pryor there would be no Eddie Murphy or Chris Rock.

His movie stuff is good, a bit camp, and toned down a lot, but his ouvre could have been even better if he had starred in Blazing Saddles (which he wrote)

Yeah, there were times he nearly copied him word for word as well, but most the time he sounded like him.
