RIP David Carradine

Seems he was found dead, hanged in his hotel room in Thailand where he was filming a movie. I'm having a hard time believeing he committed suicide, but that's what it looks like.

He was a big influence in my decision to get into martial arts, and I was always a big fan of his and his work.

RIP David

Oh wow, I had not read that he had hanged himself.

Sad.

Re: RIP David Carradine

You'd think he'd be more likely to die in a sword fight.

But, really, that's too bad.

Reports are coming out that this was an "accident" (ie:autoerotic asphyxiation (AEA).

Yeah, I heard he was into some kinky stuff. Doesn't make him a bad person, he sure was one hell of an actor. Too bad, he will be missed.

Re: RIP David Carradine

I read that he was found in the wardrobe, with ropes attached.

All sounds a bit iffy to me.

Either way, sad news.

Re: RIP David Carradine

He was a great actor. I loved Kung Fu back in the day- he was so cool.

It does sound fishy to me, and everyone who worked with him says he loved life.
Any Jemsiters from that area of the world who can tell us what the local news is saying?
Everything news-related here in the USA is carefully processed before it's put out.

Re: RIP David Carradine

R.I.P.

Sad to say it appears he wasn't quite balanced in real life.

This is a good article by a local writer that shows his commitment to his roles, even ones in bad movies.

But the actor - who was married five times - was known for being combative and unpredictable. There was drinking, and there were drugs. A recent event in Los Angeles, meant to salute "Bound for Glory," turned into a shouting match when Carradine began railing against his own film, the Screen Actors Guild and unions in general.
At age 73 any number of things or illnesses - including terminal ones - could influence such a decision. ...glen

I heard this too, yesterday, that he was found hanged in the hotel room. Who knows, but things of this nature are always fishy!
