Knew it. Now if all of you who voted for Santa would just admit that you're wrong I'd see no reason to carry out any executions. Until you do though, Backs against the wall and put on these blindfolds...

I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't seen it, but lets just say that it brings the last (first) 3 episodes up to the starting point of the first (last) 3 episodes (THIS COULD GET CONFUSING, LOL) You get to learn why Darth has such a chip on his shoulder and it answers a lot of unsolved questions in the original 1977 episode. Plus......loads and loads of action and amazing special effects. A must see for S/W fans

they did such a great job on this film. it is definately the best of the first 2! being a big fan and picky about special effects, i loved it. the movie tied everything in nicely. it is darker and really great. non-stop action and an easier-to-follow story line.

Re: Star Wars Fans Happy With Last 'Episode'

Much better than the awful first two films! This one still wasnt as good as the originals though. Nowhere near it for me, dont even touch the originals. But then again, I suppose it never would do! The main thing I didnt like about this one is the amount of effects and CGI and stuff. Nearly everything in the film is all computer generated, apart from the actors themselves. I just felt it was getting too far away from a "real" film. Bring back the "real" sets and effects from the original films. Nothing could beat them.

This film was good, not great though for me.
I still prefer the originals because they were "real". And lets face it, they have a legacy all of their own that the newer 3 films wont ever match up to!

Just got home from the theater - really liked it! IMHO the best of the first three and "worthy" enough to be mentioned with the original 3.

It is a bit sad though - no more S.W. movies.

I know its sad, but that might be a good thing. They ended on a high note. Now the can't mess it all up by making another film which would be crap.

Yeah, it was better than I & II. I know he won't, but I think Lucas should remake IV, V & VI to make the whole series more consistent.

NO! You haven't been paying attention. Just the small changes he made in the rereleases of the originals had the star wars heads up in arms. Remakes would lead to a full scale assault on Skywalker ranch by millions of geeks dressed like vader. Not a good idea... ;-)

Re: Star Wars Fans Happy With Last 'Episode'

I have been intentionally avoiding this thread (and newspaper reviews, etc). Finally got to see it tonight. Awesome I think this is definately the best of the current trilogy of films. Mind you, IMO nothing Lucas would have done would have compared to the originals. Phantom and Clones were okay in parts (Yoda v Dooku and Pod Race), but that bloody Jar Jar character really got on my nerves and ruined the Phantom Menace "mee-sa gonna shoot you in the head"!!!! Revenge of the Sith however comes very close to the original trilogy and warrants another visit to the cinema

Re: Star Wars Fans Happy With Last 'Episode'

Just saw star wars. Great showing. Full house.
anway special efx/cgi was great. I have to say it was alot darker
than what i expected. One thing i notice is that with repect to the
characters. None of the characters in the last three movies
really stood out compared to the original star wars characters.
Too much eye candy.. no substance. Episode 3 was better.
Btw.. how short is yoda? is he the same size as a light saber?
