Angry There was a time...

when VMA used to have all kinds of amazing bands.
Tonight mtv will show another VMA.
Seriously I saw in tv comercials which people will play and I can't listen to any kind of music there.
This is the worst media music period ever.
How I miss the 90's

Re: There was a time...

I personally love new music.

Not talking about Lady Gaga and Katy Perry crap.

I LOVE bands like The Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Foster the People and Mumford and Sons. Those bands still actually play real instruments. To me, that's where its at.

When people say they hate new music, it really seems funny to me. This is because there is SO much more accessible genres everywhere. Something for everyone, really.

Thanks IMO anyways.

I never ever said NEW music, I said what's on the media, on tv and radio.
There are even Avril songs I like so I have no problem with NEW music, my problem is 99% on tv and radio IS Gaga/Bieber kind of stuff
People who can't listen to "new" music is dead, you have to add newer stuff to your tastes.

Much more accessible genres where?
Not on tv and radio.
Internet is an open world to all of us but I was talking about tv/mtv.
There was a time when we used to turn our tvs on MTV and Queensryche was there playing live and so many others.
Turn on your tv on mtv and what you'll see?!
I could have a heart attack if somebody forced me to watch VMA tonight

Re: There was a time...

Oh, I understand. I thought you were bashing the new music scene in general. I'd agree, that the "media music" is really terrible. I still listen to the radio, it's where I find new bands i like, which I've found countless bands. I guess it depends on the station!

I'm watching them. I want to see who wins deservingly, if anyone does. I really like several of the nominations.

I said the majority and not 100%.
I wish I could blow away cRAP and Taylor Swift(teen singers) from this world!
WAIT..............In the right moment I said the back street boys you come up.
Hmm that should tell us something about you, that's why you were so away in that pic with your band, you were thinking "Huh I wanna dance, please let me dance!"

I'm watching Journey's new dvd.
I'm listening and playing Journey my entire life and I never get tired of them.
Amazing awesome melodies with good taste.
Of course there are songs I don't like but the majority to me are master pieces.
Simple, pop and.........................rock!
Their new singer to me is one of the best singers I ever heard, extremelly in tune strong voice. Perry is like 10% of what this guy is.
Playing Journey to me is not a job, it's a pleasure.

Re: There was a time...

Surely you did not just say that the new journey singer is better than Steve Perry. The new kid is good but he is not better than Steve Perry.

Why not?
Can't I have my opinion or just have to follow what others like?
Meet me outside and I'll show you! (I always saw that phrase in the movies and thought how dumb and imature people are )
To me he's 1000 better than annoying Perry's voice.
Perry is good but not my kind of voice.
I prefer strong male voices like Dickinson than roarse/husky(I don't know the term) Perry kind of voices.
But Journey is great no matter what.
Perry/Journey is in my ears since forever!
