UK shipping companies

I need to ship a speaker cab weighing approx 36kg...

can anybody recommend a company? or had a quote for similar?

Before now I've phoned round a few removals companies. They are often coming back empty and for a few quid will pick stuff up on route.

If you need something slightly easier to organize, I've used Shore porters, have a look at this:

If someone else is paying for the shipping I'd just box it up and use parcel force or similar, that way if it goes tits up in transit you have insurance.

Otherwise find someone who's conveniently going up north, although "north" is quite vague

Anywhere North of Watford dude. You're well travelled you should know this.

I just travelled on the new m6 toll road they built so that southerners don't have to look at Birmingham when they drive past. Worth Ģ3.50 of anyones money.

Try palletways. If you can palletise it it is probably cheaper than sending it steerage. Not helpful, but a though anyway.
