Ummmm... Take your guitar with you to a street corner and hope to get noticed?? Just kidding...

Umm.. What do you like to do, besides playing guitar??

Restaurant jobs suck, working on the weekends and all, i'd get into computers, my friend recently got into them and has become successful at it.

Re: well I need a job

heya Eddie!

Have you ever thought about skilled trades? Like an Electrician or Instrumentation Technician?

I work at a Copper Mine, and we have apprenticeship programs for everything from the above mentioned to millwrights, crane operators, plant operators, Diesel Mechanics(haul trucks) and boilermakers.

Since the babyboomers are starting to retire, more skilled tradesman will be needed to keep mines and industrial plants operating. It's a great time to get started in a trade, and they pay well when you make Journeyman.

I am not sure how old you are, as the company I work for has programs for people just graduating from high school, and for others.

Best of luck finding a job! If you are in college, my company hires summer students and pays them pretty well too!

Re: well I need a job

Restaurant jobs are good if you get the right position (a.k.a. waiter). You get a lot of extra profit from tips, especially if you work in a very formal, 5-star restaurant.

Yeah, don't go into the field of spelling. Seriously though, at your age you won't beat the pay for construction. Oh wait, you are in Texas, I lived in the NorthEast, scratch that. Do you have any useful skills?

Tell me about it. On a good night, my cousin will make over $600 in tips alone AFTER the bus boy's have got their cut. Not too shabby for someone young.
