Well, I'm F'd bad

I am typing this under the influence of 3 muscle repaxers and 2 lortabs.
As I posted before I had my wisdom teeth pulled and have had nothing but complications with dry socket.

I went to eat breakfast this morning and when I opened my mouth there was a VERY LOUD cracking sound.

I dropped to the floor, thriving in pain, my wife called the doctor and rushed me in.
Tomorrow I have to see a surgeon.

It seems that either my jaw has been dislocated or it may be cracked.

When it raisn it pours.

I am absolutely cick of all of this crap, and I would have never got my teeth removed if I would have known all of the crap.

Re: Well, I'm F'd bad

I don't know what happened.
The pain was so intense that I asked my wife to take to the hospital.
She called the Dentist first and he asked for me to come in. So we did.
The problem is that if I go to the hospital today, all they are gonna do is mesicate me until tomorrow when the Oral Surgeon comes in.

So I am at home doped up.

Re: Well, I'm F'd bad

Usually getting your wisdom teeth pulled is just a minor surgery. It sounds like you might have had a bad dentist work on you. When I got all four of my badly impacted and still under the skin wisdom teeth pulled at once, all I was left with was some swelling for about a month. Also, did the dentist worn you about dry socket before/after the surgery? It can be easily prevented through careful measures.

Hope you the best and a speedy recovery.

I'm so sorry to hear this and you hope your mouth gets fixed soon! You need to be rockin' on your guitars and driving that new car, not writhing in pain.

Peace

Mike

Re: Well, I'm F'd bad

Sounds like they may have cracked your jaw or torn a muscle when they wedged your mouth open for the surgery. I had a minor tear in my jaw muscle after having my wisdom teeth out. I have a relatively small mouth, so it was hard for them to get to the back of my mouth. I couldn't open my mouth all the way for a few weeks, but it got better.

Hope you get well soon.

Re: Well, I'm F'd bad

Sucks man, I'm sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself and find a better dentist.

My wife's tounge is still numb 2 1/2 years after her wisdom teeth got pulled. It7s supposed to go away over night but the dentist just said "Well, sometimes the nerves die because of the drugs, sorry." And that's it. She lost a bit (minor minor) of her speech ability and a bit of her sense of taste. And that's all he would say. SO now we have a new dentist.

Americans be happy you can be partial customers in your medical situations, because governmental health care does a great deal of good things but one thing it doesn't do is punish the bad doctors and dentists by leaving them without patients because those patients would rather pay another doctor to do a good job.
