Mine was a 70's explorer used by the edge from u2. I STILL love them, just never seem to "Be around" haha.

Re: what was your first gas?

Mine was actually a red strat but it quickly became a Floral JEM and then once I'd played it an Ibanez JS.

Re: what was your first gas?

I searched the internets and found AlaskaBat's FS thread here for his 570PN.

Any of Warren DeMartini's Charvels from the early Ratt days, but especially this one.

Re: what was your first gas?

My first gas was for a JEM, but I settled for a RG350....bad idea.

I got a JEM though. Guitar gas is gone.

Re: what was your first gas?

I don't remember the very first one but I remember 4 moments that really made me cry.

- This back cover of a guitar player magazine(I used to keep it right beside my bedroom and every night before going to sleep I kept staring at it hoping some mystical force would bring it to me!) how I cried about this pic=

BTW this is really my magazine from 1989

- That Rand Vivian used on Is this love clip=

- Petrucci P1 and P2.

- Vai white one.

Part of me is very tempted. I don't have the cash now; medical copays and new baby stuff and such. haha!
It's funny though, the stuff I GASed for back in the day I don't really GAS for now. The 570PN is special as its the first RG I owned. Stuff like the MC Jems and the RG770DX I don't really want anymore even thought I wanted them bad when I was a kid.
I think the next axe I buy will either be an RG1451 or I'll try and track down an RGA321 in that nice blue top.
Now if Ibanez made a modern RG in PN that would be a different animal. I'd have to sell blood to get me one of them.

You just might dig the new Premiums. I'm sure you'seen my review, videos, and constant praise of my HVV. While not a PN, the purple quilted maple is STUNNING in person, and plays nearly as good as any of my old MIJ 550s, 560s, 570s, 770s, and others. You'd be surprised.

Re: what was your first gas?

I just reviewed the 820 Premium. It is a sweet guitar. I think when I do get the next axe it'll be a fixed bridge.
