What's with the new mobile forum template?

So I've been trying to use Jemsite over my phone the last few days and now there's this hideous mobile template in place that doesn't allow to switch templates anymore.

The simple mobile one that looked and acted pretty much like the standard desktop one was a perfectly good template. Now I can't see any details in the main page on posts and the other pages are horrible.

Can someone please get rid of this crappy template and reinstate the old setup? I don't even want to try and view the forum the way it is currently.

The new mobile template is the pinnacle of modern day web design. Truly, you need to re-calibrate your mind.

I've got some template called "Lightweight Styling" and no dropdown to switch to any other template.

Mine has also changed to a light gray/white template as well. I can't even figure out how to subscribe to a thread. The "user control panel" no longer shows subscribed forums either.

Hey at least it got rid of those terrible popups that made the forum completely unusable on any mobile device.

Re: What's with the new mobile forum template?

Yup, it' needs a bit more work, but hey, it's a step in the right direction.

You're automatically referred to this page when browsing Jemsite Forum from a mobile device such as iPad or iPhone (same on both actually) without an option to select a different style sheet/design.
It's applied even when not logged in, so there has definitely been a change in the default template the forum uses

yep i was having trouble with the mobile site as well. It wasn't formatted right. Everything was off and there were only a couple of links to sub forums(sections). When i clicked on one it didn't load anything.

There was a template that didn't have any of those issues already. It was the mobile default one. All of the good parts of the forum as they are on desktop without the fluff.

That's the thing. That dropdown is not appearing for me now.

same, and I'm on Android Kitkat, using Chrome.

I've now ticked the box "request desktop site" (in the settings for Chrome), to make jemsite useable/readable on my phone.

Re: What's with the new mobile forum template?

I've reported this. You are stuck in the primitive mobile style right?

Can you open a new "private browser" window and see if it reverts to the full forum template?

Hopefully this will be fixed asap. Thx... glen
