Thank you! Well, I'm gonna apply to Cambridge (which is basically our British Harvard to you US guys n' gals - wish I could apply there too!) but we'll see... I've got the grades already so it'll all comes down to the interview. I doubt they'll take me but I'll give it my best!!! Wouldn't it be great if the interviewer had a JEM fetish or sumn.... talk about common ground lol!

Re: Woo! Results in!!!!

lol im off to do physics at bristol, i didnt have good enough AS grades to apply to oxbridge and didnt want to have to take a whole year out cos i hate living at home and im ticking off the days!
the further maths was quite hard work to get the grade in (the further pure 2 module was the hardest thing ive ever done!!) but the regular maths and the physics seem pretty logical to me so the grade came a lot easier than it should!
whats an AEA they dont do them at my college!

Re: Woo! Results in!!!!

An AEA ia an Advanced Extension Award. Sort of a bit beyond A-Levels; stuff that's off the syllabus.
Nice one with Bristol! I'm prob gonna apply there next year - you'll have to let me know what it's like! Yeah, all my mates doin Further Maths found it very hard.
It seems like everyone who never had Oxbridge grades has really pulled it out of the bag this year, and everyone with offers got complacent and didn't meet 'em! I was tickin' off days too, couldn't wait to go! Ah well, if I get into Cambridge it'll all be SOOOOO worth it lol! Plus, I got a year more with all my guitars ...

Re: Woo! Results in!!!!

im taking my RG1527 to uni, aswell as my vox AD50VT, and a pair of headphones though and a sheet to throw over it all in the corner of the room when the warden comes in.....
and i only know one person that got an oxbridge offer, but he needed distinction on all his step papers which he didnt get even though hes an insanely clever guy!! so hes off to bristol too
and AEAs sound a bit good, you are guaranteed an offer from oxford AND cambridge
git.......
