World Trade Center: The Movie

Just saw it today. I'm at a loss of words. Unbelievably emotional and extremely intense. Still feeling teary from it. I highly recommend everyone go see it, although for those that think this movie debuted far too soon, I would stray away from it and go see Talladega Nights [haha].

However it was an eye opener on those events and what I believe accurately portrayed and triubted to the men and women who were involved in such a castatrophe. It did open up some painful memories though (and probably more so if you were anywhere near the Manhattan area on that day or lost someone).

So I just needed to get that off my chest, and again, I'd recommend you see it. Don't think of it as a movie, but as a tribute to those involved.

It looks good...
I'd like to see it, even though it was one of the saddest days the current generations of America has ever seen...

Well, it's good to hear (in your perception anyhow) that Hollywood did a good job of portraying the tragic event.

Personally, I think it's too early. But they knew it'd bring in the money!

Is nothing sacred!??!

I'm surprised they didn't have Michael Moore directing it!

what katrina? just upset that MM revealed corruption in the government? lol i won't elaborate on that, i'll get myself in trouble.

it does suck that everything has to be commercialized and fraanchised. i bet that even though it was a good movie, every person who took part in it is going to the bank with a smile on their face.

Agreed, I respect Michael Moore for speaking out. Some other famous people who spoke out against oppression were George Washington, , and pretty much all of our founding fathers. If they had been caught by the British they would have been hung for treason >.>

Re: World Trade Center: The Movie

i'd like to see that and the flight 93 movie as both were said to be well done and quite respectful.... but i don't know about seeing it in the theatre.

i'd get very annoyed if i heard the typical baner of people talking, cell phones ringing, crunching their food bags, or kids crying. mood movies don't allow for distractions.... could you imagine watching for example Apocalypse Now in a crowded theater... eek.

anyways this is gonna be a HD-DVD rental when i'm prepared for a somber time afterwards ...glen
