Question Would you buy a PDA/Cell phone?

Well I need to buy a new cell phone. My phone service provider doesn't have many phones that interest me but they do have an Audiovox PPC-6600. It looks just like a pocket PC with a slide out keyboard. It's a little big though compared to a regular cell phone. What do you think? would it make a good phone? Is it too big? Will people laugh at me when I hold it up to my ear and talk into it?
I could use the PDA freatures as well in my business. Some photos http://www.pcmag.com/slideshow/0,120...=139887,00.asp

It's either that or the new Razor V3c.

the 'standard' here in NY, from what I've seen, is the Treo.

Put it in the running before you buy!

As far as phones go, do they offer the LG VX8100? I chose that one over the Razor.

That 6601 is sold over here as the XDA2s - originally made by HTC. They are not very good. I used to work for a mobile phone network providing support for phones, systems etc and these devices are prone to developing a fault with the sliding mechanism where the keyboard slides out. It becomes loose and "slips" out all the time.

It runs on Windows Mobile 2003 and has a 1.3mp camera. They also have issues with alot of Bluetooth headsets where it cuts out or sounds like they are underwater etc

Other HTC devices are fine though - but the Treos are starting to become great as well as Blackberry devices. The 8700g is an excellent phone/email/web solution too.

Never get a phone with ANY kind of sliding piece. They always have problems and many phones get recalled or have production haulted.

Until they make a cellular sneakerphone (honey, you won't guess where I'm calling from!), none for me.

I have a friend who has one, she loves it. I've *never* heard anyone say they love their phone.

You should be able to have one phone/PDA/MP3 player with the same capacity as the "big" Ipods. That's when I'll be tempted. Are we there yet?
