YouTube and childhood memories

This is absolutely ridiculous but I'd thought I'd post anyway. I found a bunch of intro's to cartoons that I use to watch in the 80's, on YouTube.

Anyone else remember watching these when growing up?

Defenders Of The Earth

Quote:
Defenders Of the Earth
DEFENDERS!

Out of the sky, his rockets ignite
Jets into battle faster than light
FLASH GORDON!

etc etc... lol

*sigh* we use to have quality cartoons. None of this "Pokemon" business where apparently the main aim of the people in it is to throw "pokeball" at said "pokemon" in order to collect them....

I forsee issues with this whole Pokemon thing.

Where should the blame lie when there is an influx of teenage boys and girls in hospital waiting rooms from taking balls to the head?

Re: YouTube and childhood memories

lol, I still own the video tapes of Defenders of the Earth.

I used to love that programme when I was a kid. I used to watch it all the time. M.A.S.K. was another one of my favourites as well, I used to own all of the toys and vehicles that they released. God I wish I still had them now.

Memories -

P.S. The original G.I. Joe rocked too come to think of it.

That's great. When I was a child I watched M.A.S.K. too. And of course He-man.

Oh wow, I haven't heard this in ages:

Gummi Bears!
Bouncing Here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.
They are the Gummi BEARS!

The lyrics to these damn things are so cliche'd it's cool.

Oh and Silverhawks! Totally forgot about this one!

Re: YouTube and childhood memories

I am not ashamed to say that I have all the He-Man DVD Boxsets in my collection. I used to love it when I was a kid, and still and do funnily/sadly enough. And then of course, Thundercats as well. What a great programme that was, again I had all the toys and figures.

I remember having the Thundercats sword, that used to light-up
