Youtube (well, the posters there) made me sick this morning
So i was browsing youtube this morning, which i never really do unless someone posts a guitar person, or something on funny on here. I don't even remember i searched first, but through all the "related videos" that I clicked, I saw one about dirtbike crash. So being that lots of people record vids of them recording wrecks that end up being entertaining where no one gets hurt, I clicked on it.
So it's a bunch of probably 18 to 20 year olds doing jumps on dirt mounds. This one kid over shoots the land and smashes the bike into the ground. All the others run over, and the kid's neck is bent way back and and he's convulsing on the ground, I'm sure with a broken neck and dying. The kid with the camera kept the camera on it for at least 30 seconds. I'm sorry, but i'm guessing these people where friends. Wouldn't you think that as soon as you saw that you'd drop the camera to try to do something to help. As much as that sickened me, isn't it worse that those people found it a great idea to post it on freaking youtube?
Ugh I knwo it's a random rant, but it's actually been haunting me all day. I just find it appalling that people regard that sort of thing as entertainment. Maybe they were posting it for shock to get people to think before doing those kinda things, but I dunno. Does anyone else feel that some of this crap is going to far? It's one thing about violent video games, or movies, or what not, I have no problem with that... but to post actual deaths (or what i'm asuming ended in a death) like that. And now that i looked, there are tons of videos like that. Maybe i'm an old fashioned 25 year old, but I find it terrible that people do this.
I dunno. It just really bothered me, and i needed to vent. Go ahead and lock if you deem this inappropriate.
