Evo VS Paf Pro in bridge

So I have a 20th anny rg550. It has a evo in the bridge, and yjm as the single coi,l and a paf pro in the neck.

I want a better clean tone so I was considering switching the bridge pickup for something with less output. I love the harmonic response of the evo tho. I had an evo 2 before and I loved it. But I was also considering the paf pro in the bridge. Which would you go for?

If you want PAF Pro level putput but Evo style harmonics, the Fred is your friend.

I've said it before- the PAF Pro sounds great in any guitar, in any position, all the time. It is a classic, IMO, and it's always worth a shot. Try it- if it doesn't work you can always sell it to me!

Evo 2 is fantastic. I have it coupled with a HS-2 middle and a PAF Pro neck on a RG470. LOVE IT!
You may also consider the SD JB TB-4! It's amazing with lots of overtones and dynamics.

Evo 2 and JB are my all time favourite pickups.

The Paf Pro and the Tone Zone are my 2 faves for that position. Evos are too high gain for my liking. It's all down to personal taste really.

then get back to it. also, the PAF Pro tends to be too trebly at the bridge. great pickup, though.

mo joe - without a doubt the best of both worlds and not as hollow sounding or tubular as the FRED.
