Just because 'America is a free country' doesn't mean you can't say anything you want, if for no other reason than not to come off as a complete jerk.
So to be an opened minded WE have to like everything?
WE have to like all genres of music.
All kinds of women.
All colors.
All cloathes.
All kinds of food and ice cream flavors.
NOT AT ALL.
I listen to almost all music genres beside rap and country and I don't like grunge because till today I never heard a song which I liked.I don't care about how much technique they have, cloathes, hairs or tatoos,I only care about music,if I like it I buy it.

Only in your planet having personal preferences is being closed minded.
IF someone have said hey Muffin your tastes are crap and only a muffin could like grunge, he'd be a jerk cause it'd be a personal attack.
Still I think it'd not be personal cause this is the internet and muffin isn't your real name!

Teling what WE like or dislike doesn't turns us into jerks, judging people tastes does it.

In the beginning . . . there was Nirvana. And then a god awful lot of garbage followed (and I am not talking about Garbage the band). Count me with the dissenters here. In my humble opinion of course!

From the list, soundgarden. I know they're not grunge, but the THE best 90's seattle band were clearly Smashing Pumpkins. I think siamese dream is about as close to a perfect album that you can get.

Where is the "None of the above" option..?!? A dark decade indeed!!! Nevertheless, I must admit that Jerry Canthrell wasn't too bad of a guitarist.

Alice in Chains - mainly because of the interesting vocal harmonies and catchy songs. Bit depressing a lot of the time mind you.

Borderline Grunge, but for me the band that changed it all was....

"The Jesus and Mary Chain"

Head On and Blues From A Gun are classics.

From the list; Alice In Chains.

Overall: Flop/Buttsweat.

I actually hate grunge a lot. Glad Death Metal put them out of business.

I like ska-punk....... oh well.

Fav post-grunge - Foo Fighters.

I like the Big 4 Seattle bands equally. Best act out of Seattle....Hendrix.

Re: Favorite Grunge band of the '90s!

Mine is AIC although STP and Pearl Jam had some great stuff.
I'm glad came grunge along and knocked the spandex and makeup off of the carbon copy scene. Of course a new carbon copy scene was created but it put it's stamp on today's music. Now you can have bands like August Burns Red that don't have to show up in a costume to melt your face off.
That said, grunge rarely finds a spot in my current playlists. **yawn**skip**
