Re: Favorite Pick Up

No offense but, there aren't enough selections and the only two Duncans are the Invader and Jazz. Well the Jazz is popular and I 've seen a few invaders on guitars but there are a lot of others that I'd call 'standards' than just those two duncans.

No JB, Duncan Distortion, Pearly Gates, Steves Special, PAF Pro, X2n , D-Sonic etc. Not to mention Duncan and DiMarzio aren't the only two makers in the world.

Not that I care specifically about each of those but you know, it's a pretty short list and a pretty midrangey/bass heavy list too: Super D, TZ, Breed.

Anyways I'm going to have to say based off of experience:

Humbucker: D-Sonic but this could change as I try more stuff out.

Single coil like sound: cruiser/fastrack 1 depending on what you want to do drive wise.

Re: Favorite Pick Up

Tone Zone all the way for the bridge. It chugs like a car engine but clears up nice on solos.
I have a couple guitars with an Evo in the bridge and the Destroyer has a Super Distortion for a classic metal tone. Most have a Tone Zone. The guitars are "flavored" with different neck and single coil pickups.

Re: Favorite Pick Up

I am personally a fan of actives myself, BUT with my recent build I have been quite impressed with the tone zone, so that gets my vote.
