16 at the moment for me. I could probably live with 7-8 but why? I'll most likely sell a couple this year but end up buying one more than I sell

My wife and I had an agreement that I would only buy 10, I sold some but i got down to my core that I didn't want to part with and I still wanted more. So I started making them myself.

She started smoking again a while ago, so I thought **** it. Now I have the moral high ground I'll buy some more. That's how you get 14, soon to be 15 when the body I am having made gets here!

That is an excellent question. And should be a poll.

I am along the UV-7-BK train of thought:
One less than my wife's limit

5-6. Since I can have only one wife, I might as well have 5-6 mistresses to play with.

Re: How many guitars is enough?

As many as possible until i marry. And then as many as possible until i divorce/convince
and of course as many as possible until i die.

kinda grim..... but you only have one life.... might as well experience every guitar.

Unless you are Rich.....Harris.....he has enough.

I don't think i could catch him unless i dilute some quality.

I wonder what Satch,Vai,Gilbert etc. would say?

Re: How many guitars is enough?

I compare it to bikes. one for race, on for dirt, and one for cruising, so 3 is cool for me. I'm happy enough with 3 types of woods, pickups and looks.

Re: How many guitars is enough?

hahahaha... well i guess if you have the cash you can go and buy whatever you like and feel like it...
but for the poor like myself... i'd say 10 is enough...
2 floyds
2 strats
2 lp's
1 acoustics (even if you have an electric with piezo)
and backups...
but then there is the shapes...
oh my god... i just realize that i need 5 guitars to complete my poorly gas... hahaha
